Chef Colin Hazama

Chef Dinner Collaboration

Colin Hazama, formerly Executive Chef of the Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival, has an impressive culinary background. He has worked at Sheraton Waikiki and The Royal Hawaiian, and is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy. Hazama has also held positions at Hoku’s at The Kahala Hotel and Resort, Alan Wong’s Restaurant in Honolulu, Roy’s Restaurants in San Francisco, and Restaurant Gary Danko in San Francisco, California.

In 2020, Hazama launched C4 Table, showcasing his culinary skills and business acumen. As a spear fisherman, he uses fresh fish and collaborates with around 20 local farmers. C4 Table has been featured in Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s Crave and “HI Now” on Hawaii News Now.

Before C4 Table, Hazama achieved significant recognition, including being named a “Rising Star Chef” by the James Beard Foundation in 2010. He appeared at the James Beard House in New York City and was recognized by Pacific Business News for its Forty Under 40 Class of 2015. In August 2015, he became the youngest executive chef at The Royal Hawaiian.

In 2018, Hazama was named Chef/Restaurateur of the Year by the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association. He also placed second on Food Network’s “Guy’s Grocery Games” in 2018 and competed on Food Network’s “Alex vs America” in 2022.
